365 portraits (part one of my senior seminar project)

Since I love to constantly be busy, and its all about a self exploration, and I plan to work on an independent project in my last year of college. I am going to be creating a photographic diary called “365 days of self portraits”, which explores all aspects of my personality, while showing my love for fashion, which will allow me to discover more about myself, and my growth over the course of one year.  A couple fine art photographers I have looked at are, Isima Kaoru, Cindy Sherman and Carolee Schneemann. I started to think about doing this after stumbling on two young photographers that I had discovered: Roni River and Sara Norris. Through there writings they describe the experience as a helpful tool to cope with daily life and become an essential tool for their personal development. I feel as though I had a sense of connection with theses two girls that I had never met before and I hope to convey the same messages in my series as well.

On the last day of my Jr. year i started to photograph my self . So far, this experience for me has been tough, at first it was easy to make time in my day for this part of my new life, but now, it can be a hassle. Some days its harder than others, but I'm glad that I have continued forward and pushed myself through. Just as these other two girls have talked about there experience with this project, this has changed my life, let me grow, and changed me in ways that I never thought would happen.
